Sudden Character Work

Since February I have taken to drawing these strange tree-creatures. They have become my new "thing" and most recently I have contemplated most seriously how I would animate them.

These were drawn with a 2H pencil, as 80% of my work tends to be these days.

And soon after, my second tree lady

And they kept coming...

I'm having quite a lot of fun with them. It is a complete turn from what I was drawing last year, which was extremely stylized and inked works.
