Includes: Two pieces of concept art, and one video of animation
These are concept works for the characters that will most definitely be featured in my grad film.
The first is the dumbo octopus I originally started with. It has a very simple colour palette, but as my work progresses, I would like to experiment with its colours in relation to its surroundings.
The second image is a see through fish, inspired a picture of an Angler Fish with a thick transparent skin where the organs were clearly visible.

ANIMATION
The first minute of my film (at least, how I envision it at this point)
My aim is to draw out moments before and after the main action, to emphasize the vast and seemingly emptiness of the deep sea. In this first shot, we are introduced to the Dumbo Octopus. It floats alone and unfazed by the complete lack of life and light around it. Suddenly, a transparent fish swims by and catches its attention. It follows, curious.
